My Story

From Inheritance to Intention

I’m Purvi Tantia, and I think generationally.

​

Over the years, I’ve walked into rooms where money had already been made, power had been passed down, and love had quietly gone unspoken. In those moments, I’ve been invited to help families do the hardest thing of all—lead with both head and heart. Not just to protect a legacy, but to reimagine one entirely.

This work is not a profession I chose; it’s a calling that chose me. As a second-generation member of a business family, and as a trained psychologist and narrative coach, I’ve lived the tension between tradition and transformation. I’ve seen how wealth can build empires—and how silence can quietly erode them. What began as a personal search for meaning evolved into my life’s work: helping families reclaim their voice, redesign their emotional infrastructure, and move from success to significance.

Over the last decade, I’ve had the privilege of guiding more than 500 business families through moments of quiet transition and seismic change. I’ve advised some of India’s largest family offices on readiness for succession, the architecture of trust, and the healing of identity across generations. My signature talk on “The Invisible Inheritance,” sparked conversations in boardrooms about what families really pass down—beyond the balance sheets.

To deepen this work, I built LegacyLab™, India’s first psychological advisory dedicated to business families navigating generational complexity. I’ve coached visionary next-gen leaders to rise with purpose, not just position. I’ve partnered with legacy institutions to reimagine how governance can feel more human. I’ve authored the “Indian Entrepreneurship Study”, which explores how generational intelligence shapes leadership, and I’ve served as a private confidante to patriarchs, matriarchs, and often, the misunderstood inheritors of legacy.

But beyond all this, my story is about claiming a deeper purpose: to restore dignity to generational transitions. To honour emotion as much as equity. To ensure that families don't just pass down wealth—but pass down wholeness.

Today, I work with some of the most complex, visionary, and private family enterprises in the world. Together, we go where most wealth advisors can’t. We go beneath the spreadsheets. We sit in the silence. And we rebuild what truly matters—not just for today, but for generations to come.
